Overview

Freedom Bridge Groundbreaking Ceremony

Join Lake Havasu City officials, project partners and community members for the groundbreaking of the new Freedom Bridge on Tuesday, October 13, at 8:30 a.m.

The ceremony will take place at the future bridge site on the Island side.

To help accommodate attendees, parking and transportation to the ceremony site will be available at London Bridge Beach. A Parks and Recreation van will provide transportation from the parking lot to the groundbreaking location.

Attendees utilizing this service should meet at the designated pickup location in the London Bridge Beach parking lot, directly in front of the stage.

The City encourages attendees to take advantage of this convenient transportation option and join us in celebrating this historic milestone as construction begins on a second connection between the Island and the mainland.

The Freedom Bridge will create a second connection between the Island and mainland and provide an additional route for emergency access and evacuation.

The project also includes related roadway, intersection, utility and drainage improvements.

Community members are invited to attend and celebrate the start of construction on this significant Lake Havasu City project.

See flyer for additional information regarding parking and access to the ceremony.
