Overview

Havasu National Wildlife Refuge protects more than 300 miles of river habitat along the lower Colorado River, stretching from Lake Havasu City to Topock Gorge.

Visitors can explore desert wetlands, cottonwood and willow forests, and scenic backwaters that provide critical habitat for hundreds of bird species and other wildlife.

With opportunities for hiking, birding, fishing, and paddling, the refuge is a peaceful escape into nature and one of the most biologically rich areas of the lower Colorado River.
