Desert Bar (Nellie E. Saloon)
A one-of-a-kind, solar-powered, Old West–style saloon set in the Buckskin Mountains near Parker, AZ. Vintage metalwork, stamped-tin details, a copper-roof “church” façade, and weekend live music (weather permitting) make this a classic lower Sonoran Desert experience.
Season & Hours
Getting There
From Lake Havasu City: South on AZ-95 → Cienega Springs Rd turnoff near Parker. Unpaved, narrow, and rough in spots—drive slowly; regular passenger cars may take a beating.
Remote desert route requiring 4WD. Steep hills, shelf roads, and rocky washes. Use established trails and exercise caution.
Good to Know
Brief History
Founded by Ken Coughlin in 1975 on the site of a former copper mining camp. What began as a small three-sided shack has grown—while keeping its Old West character—into today’s landmark saloon.
Pro tip: Roads and hours can change with weather and conditions—always verify before you “Go For It.”
