Overview
A journey along the Pittsburg Mines Trail reveals an abandoned mining area spread out along the foothills of the mountains. The mines have since been filled in or fenced. The hill at the end offers spectacular views of the Lake Havasu City area.

Directions to Trailhead:
From McCulloch Blvd N, drive out to the north end of Cherry Tree Blvd. Turn right on Tierra Vista and left on Del Sol to a culvert just past Corte Cabrillo (elev 1570 ft). The trailhead is at the end of the culvert, about 7 miles from the London Bridge.
Trail Route Instructions:
- Walk upstream in the wash, bearing right, and later, up a small hill to the electrical tower.
- Go straight east from the tower on a dirt road that curves north (left) along the foothills.
- Turn right on a dirt road entering the mountains.
- Look left for a trail up a hill by a gray area for the mines (elev. 2150 feet).
- Return straight back on this dirt road, past another mine, up and over a hill, curving left, and continuing left until the road drops down into a wash below the next tower.
- Head down the wash, bypassing a dry waterfall on the left side, to the point where you first went up the small hill to the tower.
- Return downstream to your starting point.
