Overview

Enjoy an opportunity to see and learn about the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge habitat types, and the plants and animals that use them. The North Dike also offers great birding with a good variety of waterfowl in the shallow lakes and ponds in that area. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring water, binoculars, sunscreen, and a hat.

Directions: From Hwy I-40 take Exit 1 toward Golden Shores/Oatman. Turn right onto Oatman-Topock Hwy. Follow 5 miles to tow of Golden Shores. At stop sign, turn left onto County Road 1. Follow approximately 5 miles and take a left for Pintail Slough. Pass the parking area for Pintail Slough and continue a short distance to North Dike. Note: There are no facilities at North Dike.
