Lake Havasu City hosts exciting, year-round events that embrace the region's sunny skies, scenic landscape and endless fun.
If you wish to continue exploring the Swansea area, you can add on this short but difficult 5-mile spur trail. The trail leads to the site of the pumping plant that once helped deliver water to the former town. Some sections are rough and narrow, especially the descent into the final wash. A large stretch of this trail is in a sandy wash where deep sand is common and conditions vary. A high-clearance 4WD vehicle is necessary for this trail. Note that the Pumping Plant Trail starts from Swansea, which requires completing that 23 mile trail first and should be factored into planning.
Head south about 19 miles on Highway 95 from Lake Havasu City. Turn left onto Planet Ranch Road just after the Bill Williams Bridge near mile marker 162. Follow the main road until you reach a major intersection at Swansea Mine Road and Swansea Road. Take a left on Swansea Road. The starting point for this trail is at the end of Swansea Road
