Gray Eagle Mine Trail

Located in the rugged Buckskin Mountains, this trail offers a chance for solitude as the tough drive keeps many away, although it has become a draw for OHVs. The 5-mile loop features mostly moderate terrain, but there are numerous side trails to explore, some of which are quite difficult. be sure to include time to visit The Desert Bar, aka Nellie E Saloon, a family friendly saloon built on what once was an old mining camp. The Desert Bar is open weekends Fall through Spring. Dispersed camping is available in the area.
