Desert Queen Mine Trail

This route travels through the remote Granite Wash Mountains from Vicksburg to Salome, a 25-mile round trip that passes many mines, including the Desert Queen Mine. The trail is moderately easy, with a few rough, eroded sections in some of the washes in the middle of the trail. Route finding can be challenging, so it is recommended to come prepared with a map. A high-clearance 4WD vehicle is necessary for this trail.
