Of all the Arizona adventures you’ll have on your Lake Havasu trip, getting here shouldn’t be one of them. Lake Havasu City is within driving distance of three international airports. Lake Havasu City is just a few short hours’ drive from Phoenix and Las Vegas international airports.

Lake Havasu City municipal airport makes the perfect landing spot for chartered or private planes, and there are a number of car rental, shuttle and limousine services in Lake Havasu City that make getting around a breeze.

What should you wear for the weather?

Oh, any old thing will do! We’re not one to dote on the latest fashions.  Just make sure it’s suitable for warm weather. Lake Havasu City is located in the lowlands of the Sonoran Desert. As for temperatures, summertime highs can exceed 105 degrees Fahrenheit and with 300 days of sunshine a year, make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen. In winter, lows dip into the mid-40s and highs are usually pleasant, reaching into the mid-60s.

Here’s to staying cool in the desert

While you’re here in the desert, it’s a good idea to drink a lot of water to keep your fluids up and to keep cool throughout the day. Thanks to the desert climate, insects aren’t a problem in Lake Havasu City. No bugs, just plenty of sunny fun on Arizona beaches.
