This year's parade theme "Havasu Turns Golden - Our First 50 Years" is cause for a huge celebration. Come out and enjoy the spirited marching bands from various schools and organizations in and around the area, floats representing a strong sense of community pride, and even a local celebrity or two!
Enjoy a stroll through the picturesque, authentic Shambles Village where local talent displays their art and crafts for sale. Select from a wide variety of paintings, mixed media, jewelry, home accessories, purses and clothing, as well as local music CD’s. Watch for special performances by the stage in the King's Square Courtyard of the Shambles. Get an intimate, behind-the-scenes health and wealth education at the seminars hosted throughout the event. During the month of December find that unique Christmas gift for someone special and enter a drawing for a very special give-away – the winner will be announced on December 21st. It's wonderfully wacky and fun! This may sound like a strange event but Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contests are pretty common. Carving a pumpkin underwater is a pretty difficult task, considering the buoyancy of the pumpkin (at least until you cut the lid off) and Newton's third law of motion (for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction).
Set in Oregon in 1850 Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is the story of Adam, the eldest of seven brothers, who goes to town to get a wife. He convinces Milly to marry him that same day. They return to his backwoods home. Only then does she discover he has six brothers - all living in his cabin. Milly sets out to reform the uncouth siblings, who are anxious to get wives of their own. Then, after reading about the Roman capture of the Sabine women, Adam develops an inspired solution to his brothers’ loneliness - kidnap the women they want!

The Diamonds are a living Pop Music legacy. The original quartet rose to prominence in the 1950s and early 1960s with 16 Billboard hits including “The Stroll” and the million-selling hit “Little Darlin’,” which has sold approximately 20 million copies to date. The Diamonds have learned that the durability of classic rock and roll music is as much about the future as it is about the past. The newest quartet members, playing saxophone and trombone, backed by piano and drums, continue to expand their audience by performing in a variety of venues and touring Europe, South America, and Asia. Trick-or-Treaters are in for a scream at the 8th Annual Main Street Halloween Fright Night! Local ghouls, ghosts, and zombies will be collecting candy and treats from participating Main Street businesses. McCulloch Boulevard is closed to traffic as thousands of children (and adults) arrive in costume with their bags open and ready. There will be activities, food, beverages and fun for the entire family!
Dave Bolster provides free appraisals of heirlooms, keepsakes, family treasures and collectibles. For several years Dave Bolster has been providing free appraisals to the public at the Lake Havasu Senior Center. Items are limited to two carry ins. Appraisals are free to Senior Center Members and by contribution for non-members.
Appraisals are done on the last Thursday of every month from 9:00 to 11:00 am. All contributions benefit Meals on Wheels.
