Imagine running in uncomfortable temperatures, trails so rugged just the thought of falling leaves a bruise, and just when your body aches for a flat course another hill comes at you. Of course, before your running shoes meet the mean 5k or 10k trail, you’ll have to complete an water swim filled with flesh eating piranhas. Okay...so the piranhas weren't approved. Maybe this race isn't so tough after all!
Swim: The open swim course will be a single loop
course in Lake Havasu, beginning and ending on the beach at Windsor 4.
The course will be patrolled by the safety team volunteers and
assistance is available to any swimmer. Participants will be
disqualified if they are assisted back to shore or do not finish the
entire swim course.
Because of the warm water temperature, wetsuits will not be allowed.
Run: The run is a 3 mile loop; first two miles of trail
along the shoreline of Lake Havasu and comes back one mile on road.
The long course will run this loop twice.
Awards will be given to the top three overall males and females. The top male and female in each age division will receive an award. Age divisions are 11-and-under; 12-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-over. For relay teams, awards will be given to the overall winner in each the male, female and mixed divisions.
