Hunting in Arizona's Mohave County
Hunting in Mohave County, Arizona is some of the best in the nation. Extraordinary opportunities are here with a very diverse wildlife population and unique habitat. Our hunting region is home to bighorn sheep, elk, javelina, mountain lions, mule deer, doves, and quail. The region extends from Kingman southwest on I-40 to AZ Hwy 95 south to the Bill Williams River, east along the Bill Williams and Santa Maria rivers to U.S. Hwy 93, northwest on U.S. Hwy 93 to I-40, and west along I-40 to Kingman.

Hunting areas in and around the Lake Havasu Area are divided into different units (as noted above). Click on the links for more information on the Kingman unit or Yuma unit, or go to the main hunting section for the AZGFD.

Hunting regulations differ based on the type of game. Typically, all small game species require a basic Arizona hunting license, which is available at various locations in Lake Havasu City. Arizona residents and non-residents can buy a 12-month license, valid for one year from the date of purchase (see fee structure below).
